How the Oregon rule works
Oregon does not require employers to offer vacation or to pay it out at separation. The Bureau of Labor and Industries requires employers to honor any established policy or agreement on paying accrued vacation when employment ends. If the policy provides for payout at termination, that amount is due with the final paycheck under the timing statute; a policy that excludes payout at separation is enforceable.
